Selective Synthesis of alpha-Monosubstituted and meta-Disubstituted Ferrocenes: A Challenge in Ferrocene Chemistry - Georgina Kaczmarzik
The direct synthesis of alpha-monolithiated and meta-lithiated (aminomethyl)ferrocenes is a great challenge in ferrocene chemistry. These syntheses are, however of interest, as they would offer a wide range of new important building blocks for various applications.
Structure and Reactivity of Benzyl Compounds - Stephan Koller
In modern organometallic chemistry the deprotonation of benzyl compounds is still a worthwhile goal, as the benzylic anion is very variable showing different structure patterns and reactivity.

Stereogenic Nitrogen Centres with Specific Configurations - Dr. Prisca Eckert
The configuration of stereogenic nitrogen centres that contain a free electron pair is usually not stable due to the low barrier of inversion. We investigate different possibilities of fixing one specific configuration at stereogenic nitrogen centres of chiral diamines by exploring the following methods:
1. The coordination to transition metals[1]
2. Ring closure reactions
