I graduated with a master’s degree in chemistry from Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany in 2016. Prior to that, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Fergusson College, Pune, India. Becoming interested in biological organization and function arising from molecular chaos, I joined the Huck group in 2016 to work in the general area of physical biology of the cell. The focus of my research was the impact of the physical environment in (synthetic) cells on cellular biochemistry. Building upon this, I joined the Mutschler lab in 2021, to work on developing synthetic living systems capable of Darwinian evolution. My core expertise consists of microfluidics, synthetic biology, and physical chemistry along with a love for presenting research. When not in the lab, I enjoy reading, reading, reading and more reading.
